Journaling: Pages of Transformation Foundations of the Craft Tools of the Craft: The "Smells and Bells" The Circle of Art: Creation of Sacred Space Turning the Wheel of the Year It's My Intent: Crafting Effective Ritual A Study of the Elements Walking the Path: Dedication and Initiation Creating an Effective Spiritual Practice The Greater Work Within Community Workshop topics include: Networking and the Path of Service, Ethics and responsibility within craft work and Finding Common ground Green Magick: A Divine Connection to the Natural World This workshop will discuss what Green Magick is and how its practitioners employ use of the natural world as both Temple and tool of the God and Goddess. Animal guides, plant, tree, herbal magick and knowledge of minerals and the forces of nature are the cornerstones of this Path. How these tools are used and the role they serve in the Green Witch’s practice will be explored, as well as a look at how these practices can be used in support of modern environmental issues. Celtic Tree Magick This workshop will explore the lore and wisdom imparted by reverence of the Sacred trees by the Celts. We will look at the the Tree Moons and their properties as tools for growth and discuss the origins and se of the Ogham, gift of Ogma, the Son of the Dagda. Deity and Guides Honoring the Divine: From Daily Practice to Deity Specific Ritual This workshop will explore the many means by which we honor the God and Goddess. Topics will include a history of ancient forms of honoring Patrons and the Divine, establishing a connection with Deity on a daily basis and creating specific rituals of honor to the Deity blessing your life. Ideas for creation of altars and use of music, writing and dance as ways of expressing devotion to Deity will be discussed and shared by participants. Wisdom of the Crone This workshop will explore the myth and many facets of the Goddess as Crone. We will discuss the use of the Crone’s energy in daily and spiritual work, honoring the Crone within us and what the responsibilities and charges of becoming a “Crone” mean as a rite of passage. We will finish the session with a Pathworking to ask for blessings from the Crone and receive any message she may have for us. Please bring a small token or amulet to be dedicated as a personal key to accessing your Crone energy. (Please note: This class is not gender or age-specific) Sleeping with the Goddess Series: NOTE: This series of workshops is gender specific to female or those who are strongly attuned to the feminine polarity. Sleeping with The Goddess: The Beginnings From a pagan perspective women’s mysteries are part of our everyday Path. This workshop will uncover, explore and unleash the power of that wisdom. A look at our place in history, the present reawakening and the power of our future will be some of the topics discussed. Techniques and practical application for tapping into and harnessing the wisdom of our bodies and mind will be reviewed. The workshop will culminate with a ritual of empowerment and dedication to the sacred feminine within. Please wear comfortable clothes, a soft towel or yoga mat and a flower for the altar. The Seven Veils of Hathor: A Study of Women's Mysteries An exploration and study of womens' mysteries through the gifts of the Goddess Hathor. The class will incorporate the use of sound, breath, music and dance to awaken the power of the feminine and the corresponding lunar energies within The workshop will conclude with a self-designed ritual dance honoring the sacred feminine. Where the Wild Things Are This workshop is an exploration of Power Animals, Totems and techniques for connecting with and accessing the primal nature within. We will discuss animal guides, their help in magickal working and connection to humans, and how to bring the energy of animal imagery into the physicality of our mundane lives. Participants will experience a Pathworking to seek your animal guide and open to your personal center of primal energy. Please come ready to share, discuss and to welcome the “sacred animal” within. Energy Work Awakening the Energetic SELF Generating, directing and sustaining energy are fundamental precepts to successful magickal workings. This workshop will provide an introduction to the methodology and knowledge required to awaken the life force; as well as discussion of the cautions and need for activities of renewal and grounding. This class will be both informative and experiential. Please bring something small to eat and drink to aid you’re your grounding. (Basic knowledge of the chakras is helpful, but not required) The Chakras: Gateways to the Divine The Chakras are powerful tools in the use/control and focus of energy. This workshop will provide discussion as well as experiential practice in stimulating and accessing these portals. Exercises to encourage healthy flow of these energy centers and cleansing and balancing of the seven major chakras will be included. Please wear comfortable clothing and avoid caffeine prior to this workshop. The Sacred Body: Instrument of the Divine Our bodies and all that they contain are the most profound magickal tool we are bound to. They are also the most underused and often abused. This workshop will explore the body as both a physical and spiritual instrument. Topics will include exploration of our concept of the body as temple or trash can, how diet and physical exercise impact our magickal work, and opening the five overt senses as doorways to the sixth sense. We will discuss the use of our bodies, breath and sound in ritual work and share strategies to ground and center amid the stresses and demands of the mundane world. Basic knowledge of the chakras and etheric bodies helpful, but not required. Please wear comfortable clothing and your own successful strategies and practices to share Mystery of the Serpent Divination It's Written in the Stars: An Introduction to Astrology The study of Astrology has been a topic of interest and mystery from Ancient times. The relationship between the stars and planets at one’s time of birth and the impact of those celestial bodies on the course of a lifetime has been debated and disputed, but the scientific facts based on astronomy and its findings have uncannily been in support of many of the theory surrounding astrology. Beginner: The core concepts, definitions and basic understanding of an astrological chart are taught. Topics include: Overview of Astrology as science and mystery, signs of the Zodiac, the Houses of the chart and the planets in relation to the overall chart and their placement within. Introduction to Divination This workshop will explore the various types of Divination, their use and basic methods of preparation and increased opening to the skill of Divination. We will look at Divination and oracular skill and its use in ancient times’ including The Oracles of Delphi, Celtic Ogham, Norse Runes and Tarot. Opening the Oracular Sight The Study of Tarot… Levels Beginner through Advanced Life Passages Honoring the Sacred Self The cycles of life, birth and death, coming of age, rites of passage all encompass the span of a human lifetime. This class will explore the various ways specific times and events in life have been honored and how the establishment of these traditions has enhanced the joy of living. (Please note: This class is not gender or age-specific) Intro and Beginner Series Qabala: A course of Study within the Western Mystery Tradition Numerology for Beginners: The Art and Science of Numbers From the time of Pythagoras and the early mathematicians, numbers have been a fascinating foray into the mystical and the logical. Numerology has found its way into the descriptions of the planets, the days of birth, as well as English literature and sacred geometry. Each participant will receive their own personal numerology chart and interpretation of the meaning. Study of the Tarot: What’s in the Cards? This class covers the history of Tarot (Tarrochi), the relationship to regular playing cards, and the uses as a tool of prediction. Discussion of the literal and metaphoric meanings of the symbols on the cards, as well as the visual experience of the more than 100 types of Tarot decks available today. Practice will include use of different spreads, readings for family and friends and use of the cards as personal meditation tools. Please bring a Rider-Waite deck for this class. Lighting the Midnight Flame: An Introduction to Candle Magick Meditation/Pathworking The Magickal Pen: Writing Effective Guided Visualizations and Pathworkings Pathworkings and guided visualizations are valuable and effective tools for ritual and personal magickal development. This workshop will provide useful methodology for creating powerful and creative visualizations. We will discuss core ingredients for successful writing, how to effectively make use of silence or music to enhance the journeying and the basics of timing and leading a guided visualization for a group. The class will conclude by experiencing a guided visualization. Please bring note taking supplies and a recorder (optional). Meditation for Stress Reduction: Gateway to Serenity This class provides an overview of the various meditation techniques and their uses for reducing stress, connecting with your inner tranquility and taking positive steps towards establishing a haven of serenity. Topics include suggestions for creating meditation spaces, establishing a personal meditative practice and developing tools to navigate the challenges of the day more effectively. Each session will conclude with a guided meditation. Serenity Nights: Tools for Tranquility Each class focuses on a theme of discussion and exploration based on principles of meditative practice and resources supportive of a more resilient response to stress. The sessions will be both informative and experiential, drawing from an eclectic source of inspiration and knowledge. Information will include holistic wellness, stress management, tips and techniques for navigating through the week ahead in a peaceful and productive manner. Handouts and resource suggestions will be provided at each session and the evening will conclude with a 20-minute guided meditation centering on the topic of the week. A written transcript of the meditation will be distributed for your personal use. Other The New Age of Holistic Health This class will provide an overview of the alternative modalities available relating to nutrition, health and well being. Holistic health encompasses the whole of the being, inclusive of spiritual, mental and physical. Topics will include: homeopathy, acupuncture, Reiki, hypnotherapy, meditation and holistic nutrition. Please note: no practitioner referrals, or medical advice or judgment will be given. This class is for information purposes only. Pagan Parenting: Lighting the Way for the Next Generation This workshop will explore the joys and challenges faced in raising children in a Pagan home. We will discuss the milestones of childhood and how to use these to enhance the inherent “magic” in the innocence of a child. Topics will include age-appropriate pagan activities, circle participation, pre-adolescence curiosity, rites of passage and family support for the teen years as a pagan. Please bring pictures of your children, and a white candle to be lit as token of our support as our young people enter the mysteries of the Craft. Drama: It's Use in Ritual Theater, music and dance have long served as vehicles of creative expression to inspire and enrich. The combined use of drama and the intent and focus of pagan mythos, and ritual are natural companions. This workshop will discuss techniques of creating choreographed and theatrically-based ritual. There will be experiential exercises included for projection of voice, expression, using the body as a means of physical energy and improvisation. The workshop will conclude with an impromptu staging of a Yule celebration.
